Suriname

CIDA does not maintain a bilateral or country-to-country development assistance program in Suriname, but does maintain an important bilateral program with the Caribbean region through its countries of focus.

Suriname may also benefit from other CIDA programs, such as:

• Geographic regional programs including:
  • the Inter-American Regional Program
  • 
    
• Multilateral and global programs including:
  • the International Humanitarian Assistance Program
  • 
    
• Partnerships with Canadians programs that support the efforts of selected Canadian organizations working in developing countries
  
  
• the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives managed by the High Commission of Canada to Guyana
