Classroom Activities

Here are some activities to help you bring global education into the classroom and inspire your students to become active global citizens.

  • You and Me! Me and You! (Grade 1 to 3)
The activities in this unit are intended to explore our common humanity by noting that certain elements of children's lives are universal and that differences arise from variations in cultural settings or in the resources available to people.
  • Put a Face on Development (Grade 4 to 6)
The activities in this section help students understand international development challenges by introducing them to youth living in the developing world.
  • Millennium Development Goals (Secondary)
The lessons in this unit are designed to introduce students to the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and to have them consider the implications of these goals for the individual and for society.
  • Emily's World (Secondary)
The purpose of this lesson is to introduce students to the many ways in which they are linked to the wider world, and to examine their responsibilities as citizens of that wider world.
