Measuring performance also enhances the Department's capacity to demonstrate accountability and transparency to Canadians.
Results for Canadians: A Management Framework for the Government of Canada, calls on federal departments and agencies to be values-based, results-driven, and aligned with the needs of Canadians. To this end, the delivery of the DFATD's programs focuses on the achievement of results and the practice of due diligence and value for money in the use of public funds.
Evaluation, internal audit, and results-based management play a fundamental role in demonstrating the integrity of Canada's international development programs and the value being realized through involvement in development cooperation programs and projects.
