| Name of event: | Come Face2Face with entrepreneurs who think big! |
| Brief Description of Event: | Meet Tatu Juma from Tanzania and Vu Thi Ha from Vietnam. Both head successful businesses in their community. Their stories represent examples of how empowering women in developing countries helps contribute to a community's--and a country's--economic growth. Tatu Juma and Vu Thi Ha are currently travelling across Canada in the form of life-size cutout figures. You may come across them at special events, in airports, at universities, or other public spaces. Each figure is marked with a Quick Response (QR) code that, scanned with a smartphone, takes you to videos about these women and their work. Here is an opportunity to learn more about some of the beneficiaries of CIDA-supported projects in developing countries. For more information, visit cida.gc.ca/face2face |
